Polyurethane rigid foam (PUR) and polyisocyanurate (PIR) offer the highest insulation performance per layer thickness. λ-values 0.022–0.028 W/(m·K).
PIR is distinguished by superior fire properties (B2 instead of B3). Applications: flat roof, pitched roof sarking insulation, cavity wall insulation.
